The sektoreins web app is the digital control room for your plant technology. Readings, operating states and control logic come together here. No portfolio is too large, no site too far away. sektoreins gives you 24/7 control over your technology and is tailored precisely to the requirements and legal regulations.

  • Multi-tenant portfolio operation — All installations and sites can be viewed in one interface. Roles and permissions are assigned granularly: who sees and controls what is configurable per tenant and per site.
  • Data acquisition — Readings are captured continuously through the gateway and stored in the web app. All data points are available for analysis, trend evaluation and comparison across periods.
  • Monitoring & visualisation — All readings, states and events of an installation in real time — clearly laid out in one unified dashboard. Several installations and sites can be compared and evaluated in parallel.
  • Alerting and anomalies — Limit violations and anomalies are detected automatically and reported to the responsible people by e-mail, push or Teams message. Who receives what is configurable individually.
  • Rebuild installations digitally — The hydraulic schematic and the electrical metering concept are mapped fully digitally — including all fittings and devices. Any number of readings can be captured and assigned, regardless of the data source.
  • Control and regulation tasks — Operating strategies are configured individually as control schemes, via software code or function blocks. The rule engine executes logic reliably — locally on the gateway or across installations via the web app.

  • Weather and market data integrated automatically — Weather data, grid fees and price signals from the day-ahead or intraday market are available within the platform and can be used for plant operation.
  • Recognise relationships and learn behaviour — The readings from the web app form the basis. The data models learn from actual operation and become increasingly precise over time. This makes the future behaviour of a heat store, a CHP unit or a PV system reliably predictable.
  • Generation forecasts — Electrical and thermal generation are predicted on the basis of the learned plant behaviour.
  • Consumption forecasts — Electricity and heat demand are forecast reliably based on historical patterns, outside temperature and time of day.
  • Create operating schedules — From forecasts and market prices sektoreins calculates optimised daily operating schedules for CHP units, heat pumps and more. These schedules are created automatically and can be influenced by user configuration.
  • Adjust and apply — Schedules can be adjusted manually and then handed over to the control system. Fixed settings and control schemes in the background safeguard operational safety and the supply task at all times.

Hardware

Gateway

Our hardware provides secure and reliable communication on site. The gateway connects existing devices regardless of manufacturer and sends the data to the sektoreins web app. It is installed within the installation and can work directly with a small controller (PLC) for real-time capable control.

  • Vendor-neutral — Existing devices and plant technology can be connected through communication interfaces. New components can be integrated later at any time.
  • Direct PLC communication — Inputs and outputs of a connected PLC can be addressed directly from the web app — for real-time capable control and switching commands alike. sektoreins supplies the matching PLC software and relies on proven hardware from established manufacturers with long-term availability.
  • Local + web app — The gateway runs locally and connects to the sektoreins web app. The web app handles optimisation and monitoring, the gateway handles execution on site. Through that connection the gateway can be updated remotely at any time.
  • Fail-safe — Readings are buffered on the gateway and synchronised with the web app automatically once the connection is restored. No data loss, no operational downtime. Control tasks are executed reliably even without a connection to the web app.

That can only be answered individually and depends above all on the goals you are pursuing. Besides measurable cost savings from more efficient energy use, sektoreins also makes it far more efficient to monitor plant technology and to configure and adjust control logic. Anyone currently spending a lot of time on manual checks or configuration often benefits sooner than expected.

A blanket answer would be dishonest and would not do the question justice. The choice of reference value alone influences the result considerably. What we can say from practice: the range runs from the high single-digit percentages to over 30 %, always depending on how the installation was operated before. Field studies on intelligent building and heat supply show savings potential between 13 and 20 %, a range in which we also operate with sektoreins. Complex, sector-coupled supply systems offer the greatest leverage: a fully predictive operating mode — deliberately pre-charging storage, exploiting favourable price windows and coordinating several generators — achieves considerably more than rigid control strategies.

Installing the gateway and configuring the data interfaces is usually finished within one to three working days. Forecasts and optimisation need a learning phase in which the data models learn from actual operation. The first results are visible after a few weeks, full performance after a few months.

sektoreins uses the same encryption technology as other security-critical web applications, online banking among them: all communication runs over TLS 1.3, and access is additionally secured with two-factor authentication. Only as a web app can sektoreins be operated and rolled out quickly and efficiently. Users automatically always have the latest software version — a clear advantage for IT security over locally installed applications.

Yes, that is possible in principle. For customers with the appropriate IT infrastructure we offer on-premise operation on request. Please contact us directly and we will discuss the technical prerequisites.

No. In principle everything can be managed independently after installation — we stay in the background. If needed we do take on the work of new or further setup for new integrations, conversions or complex tasks.

The web app can readily be used without the further optimisation and forecasting functions — for example initially just for monitoring, control and alerting. Because the optimisation algorithms build on the data structure created in the web app, sektoreins has to be fully set up once before the data products can be used.

Depending on requirements sektoreins uses various models, often Siemens LOGO!, Controllino or Opta Finder. Which model makes sense is discussed beforehand, and we prepare the device with the appropriate software directly for the customer.

sektoreins is a SaaS product. The running costs depend on the effort required and the size of the installation. Because every installation and every requirement is different, we always discuss pricing personally.
